Jan Ignác Říha

IGGY was born Jan Ignac Riha in the Czech Republic (CZ) in 1975. From an early age he had a passion for the arts and it was no surprise his first career was acting. His work with several theatre companies saw him perform internationally including Germany, Spain, Switzerland & Austria.

Whilst busy performing in 1993 he met the love of his life Milena Dubsikova and they now have two children Igy and Max. Milena gained success as a puppeteer, set and costume designer. She’s also co-authors of many Ignac’s graphic works. While living in Prague they collaborated on designing quirky restaurant interiors and created paintings and graphic works for the Skanska offices and private collections. In Barcelona they shot presentation videos for Escuela Drassanes and Cuna del Nino Jesus.

From 2009 Ignac’s name is widely associated with the front cover of Reflex magazine for which he creates political and satirical collages, winning him the main prize in the international award. In addition he has been commissioned by Czech travel magazine Lide & Zeme (People & Earth) and Barcelona based satirical magazine Mongolia.
